Your Group of Friends at Your Fingertips
So The Social Circle Begins....
First off I would like to welcome our inaugural members and hope they enjoy, what I hope, is a good experience for everyone. Things are going to start out a little rough at first but if you hang in there The Social Circle will be as fun as those other sites you visit obsessively. Hopefully a couple months down the road this site won't look anything like what it does today. Of course all the features you are enjoying today will be there but I hope to improve them all and add new ones. The look of the site will grow with and for the users, and as I get more time will look a lot less thrown together than they do today.
In order to achieve everything I want I'm going to need a little help from all of you. Not much mind you, but you will get out of it what you put into it.
Invite your Friends: If each of you invite two people and each of those people invite two people this site will grow quickly and you'll have more of your friends to share and interact with.
Spread the Word: Of course inviting your friends doesn't always work. Some of them just disregard the invites as spam and never think twice. That is why there are dynamic ways to share this site with others. In addition to the badges you might have seen that you can put on your blogs, websites, and anywhere else you can think; there are media sharing tools built into TSC. You can share your photos, music, and videos with anyone anywhere and when they click on it they are brought here. This is just the start of what will develop.
Be Interactive: No one wants to hang out here if there is nothing to see or do so be creative and have fun. Add all the media you want (pics, songs, movies) and look at everyone elses. You can change the layout and design of your profile, and add widgets from other OpenSocial sites (ask if you need help). Comment on people's pages and make sure you welcome new guests.
Ask Questions: This is a big site with lots to explore and do. There are things here you probably can't do with your current social network so I don't expect everyone to hit a home run right off the bat. If you have questions about anything don't be afraid to ask. You can also join the support forum and group to find answers to common (and not so common) problems. If that doesn't work there is a public chat on the main page were someone may be able to help.
Have Fun!: That's what this is all about isn't it? So jump right in and make friends. I hope you all enjoy your stay here and get something out of TSC.
